What got the funs listening?
Observations made for a full month shows that, Ghanaian listeners loves a mix of local and African Artiste, with 4 of the top artiste hailing from Ghana and Nigeria. Drake was caught number one 1 on the list followed by Sarkodie followed by Kwesi Arthur and to the Nigerian brothers Burna Boy followed by Davido.
The most streamed song on spotify this month came from Ghana, this song was “Agyiewaa” by O’Kenneth, Reggie and City Boy the Kumericans of GH. Kwesi Arthur – Baajo which featured Joeboy was the second most streamed song, and to the third was “Sore Remix” by Yaw Tog which featured Kwesi Arthur and Stormzy from UK.
With a firm taste of the local and Pan-African tracks, it is to no surprise that top notch hit songs are from Ghana followed by Africa hits which featured the blazed songs from the continent.
For the podcasts, listeners from Ghana prefers diverse topics which included relationships talks, business, self motivations and more. A podcasts featuring Accra-based residents on diverse topics came top followed by Adekunle Tolulope’s inspirational podcast, “Articulate One and The Joe Rogan Experience”. TED talks daily and Joel Osteen are also in the top lane.
