
Ghanaian-based rapper and musician Emmanuel Danso Arthur Junior recognised in the showbiz industry as Kwesi Arthur was born and raised in Tema community 9 on 18 December 1994.
After completion of his secondary school education at Tema Secondary School in 2013, he planned on furthering his education by studying Psychology and Law at the University of Ghana but due to financial difficulty, he was not able to continue.
Due to this, he found himself working as a security guard in Tema. He found his interest in rap music after he heard listened to Drake’s Thank Me Later. He went ahead to make a deal with a local recording studio owner to learn music production and record for free in exchange he had to perform some simple tasks like sweeping around the studio.
While doing that he rose to fame in 2017 with his first single “Grind day” after he met the Ground up Chale management in 2016. In the year 2018, he was nominated for Best International Act at the 2018 BET Awards. Currently, he has released many songs including Grind Day Remix feat Medikal and Sarkodie, Anthem, Woara Shotto, Don’t Keep Me Waiting feat Kidi and many more as well as awards and several nominations.
